The ports

Piraeus (Gate E8)

Piraeus Port Authority (PPA / ΟΛΠ) runs Europe's largest passenger port by volume and Greece's main gateway. Coastal shipping (ακτοπλοΐα) uses the central port basin between the Themistokleous and Krakani moles. For Aegina with Saronic Ferries, the FAQ is explicit: from Piraeus the departure gate is Gate E8 inside the port.

Allow walking time from the metro, Suburban railway or X96 stop to Gate E8. Follow port signs for Saronic / Aegina; if in doubt, ask at a ticket office or the port information point.

Aegina — main (central) port

Most conventional sailings arrive at Aegina's central / main port in Aegina town. Saronic Ferries lists a ticket office there; Aegina Ferries publishes an Aegina phone on its contact page.

Souvala and Agia Marina

Saronic Ferries also names Souvala as the north port of Aegina, with its own ticket office, used by some sailings. Hellenic Seaways agents and other operators also serve Agia Marina on Aegina's east coast for some high-speed or seasonal sailings. Always check which Aegina harbour your ticket names before you leave Piraeus.
